SYNOPSIS

     Requires New Jersey Commerce, Economic Growth and Tourism Commission to provide information clearinghouse on website for businesses interested in relocating to State.

An Act requiring the New Jersey Commerce, Economic Growth and Tourism Commission to provide information for businesses on website and supplementing P.L.1998, c.44 (C.52:27C-61 et seq.).

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1. The New Jersey Commerce, Economic Growth and Tourism Commission, in consultation with the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, shall make available on its Internet website an information clearinghouse for businesses interested in relocating to the State.  The information shall be updated monthly and include, but not be limited to, comprehensive State demographic data, major employer data, business sites and building information. 

 

     2. This act shall take effect on the 180th day following enactment.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill requires the New Jersey Commerce, Economic Growth and Tourism Commission to provide an information clearinghouse on its website for businesses interested in relocating to New Jersey.  The information shall be updated monthly and in consultation with the Department of Labor and Workforce Development.  The information shall include, but not be limited to, comprehensive State demographic data, major employer data, business sites and building information.
