An Act concerning the provision of nursing services to nonpublic schools and supplementing P.L.1991, c.226 (C.18A:40-23 et seq.).
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. The nursing services provided pursuant to P.L.1991, c.226 (C.18A:40-23 et seq.) may also include, in the event of an emergency, the provision of nursing services to a preschool pupil enrolled in the nonpublic school.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
Under P.L.1991, c.226 (C.18A:40-23 et seq.), the board of education in a school district in which a nonpublic school is located is required to provide certain nursing services for pupils who are enrolled full-time in the nonpublic school in grades kindergarten through 12. This bill specifies that in the event of an emergency, the nursing services may also be provided to a preschool pupil enrolled in the nonpublic school.
