Assembly Higher Education
A110 Allows gross income tax deductions for contributions by certain taxpayers to New Jersey Better Educational Savings Trust (NJBEST) Program and provides a State match for contributions to NJBEST accounts for families meeting certain income guidelines.
A116 Establishes a gross income tax credit for attendance at New Jersey county colleges.
A125 Requires tuition bills of public institutions of higher education to include details on student fees and opt-out provision for student-managed entertainment fees, and requires certain institutions' websites to include student fee information.
A129 Authorizes county colleges to establish and operate student dormitories.
A200 Directs board of trustees of county college to post information on the compensation paid to college president on its website.
A316 Prohibits public institutions of higher education from increasing resident undergraduate and graduate tuition and fees by more than 4% over the prior academic year.

A326 Prohibits four-year public and independent institutions of higher education from requiring students to purchase meal plans and permits the institutions to only offer meal plans in the form of a spending allowance.
A328 Prohibits four-year public and independent institutions of higher education from increasing New Jersey resident undergraduate tuition and fees for nine continuous semesters following student's initial enrollment.
A329 Directs Secretary of Higher Education to revoke proprietary school's license to award academic degrees if school fails to achieve certain minimum graduation rates.
A330 Requires closure of a four-year public institution of higher education that fails to achieve a six-year graduation rate of at least 50% for full-time undergraduate students.
A455 Establishes Office of Student Loan Ombudsman; regulates student loan servicers.
A486 Provides additional State aid to county colleges for students enrolled in certain postsecondary career and technical education certificate programs.
A493 Prohibits four-year public institutions of higher education from increasing New Jersey resident undergraduate tuition and fees above certain percentages.
A517 Authorizes an institution of higher education to initiate a new program without the approval of the Commission on Higher Education that might otherwise be required if the program is not supported by State funds.
A523 Requires Higher Education Student Assistance Authority to provide information on life insurance plans to borrowers of student loans and requires authority to contract with life insurance company to offer policies to borrowers.
