Adjacent
to the State House is the Annex. Constructed in the
late 1920s, it originally housed the State Library,
State Museum and State Judiciary. Today it contains
legislative committee rooms and offices. A recent
restoration included refurbishing period details and
adding several commissioned artworks, including a
skylight featuring special places, people and events
in New Jersey history. Artwork in or near Committee
Rooms 3, 4,
5, 11
and 12, make these
spaces especially worthy of a stop.
