Legislative sessions and committee meetings are open to the
public. Legislative sessions usually occur on Monday and Thursday
afternoons. Public galleries on the second floor of the State
House provide public seating. Access to special events, such
as an address by the Governor, may require a seating pass. All
visitors to the State House should be prepared to show identification
and go through a security screening.
Committee
meetings can be held on any weekday, but most often occur on
Mondays and Thursdays. Committee rooms are located in the State
House Annex. (An underground tunnel connects the State House
and Annex.) For a listing of scheduled sessions and committee
meetings, consult the Legislative Calendar
.
