ASSEMBLY JOINT RESOLUTION No. 54

STATE OF NEW JERSEY

      The Assembly Health and Senior Services Committee reports favorably Assembly Joint Resolution No. 54.

      This joint resolution declares June 7th of each year as “Neonatal Alloimmune Thrombocytopenia Awareness Day” to raise awareness of the seriousness and challenges of neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia and encourage parents to undergo testing and treatment as early as possible.

      The joint resolution directs the Governor to annually issue a proclamation calling upon public officials and the citizens of New Jersey to observe this day with appropriate activities and programs.

      The joint resolution is identical to Senate Joint Resolution No. 11 (Singer), which the committee also reported on this date.
