SYNOPSIS

     Makes supplemental appropriation of $1,000,000 to fund the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station at Rutgers University.

A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2014 and regulating the disbursement thereof, " approved June    , 2013 (P.L.2013, c.   ).

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2013, c.   , there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

The amount hereinabove appropriated for the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station – Rutgers University shall be used for production agriculture research and extension work.

 

     2.    This act shall take effect on July 1, 2013.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill makes a State fiscal year 2014 supplemental appropriation of $1,000,000 from the General Fund to the Agricultural Experiment Station for production agriculture research and extension work. The Experiment Station, which is the research and outreach arm of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, conducts research and other activities in the areas of food, agricultural, marine, and environmental sciences and their application to the improvement of the human condition.
