with Senate Floor Amendments

(Proposed by Senator VITALE)

ADOPTED: JANUARY 31, 2019

These Senate floor amendments revise the definition of “academic medical center” to remove language that required academic medical centers to have graduate medical training programs in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, and medical specialties.  As amended, academic medical centers are required to have graduate medical training programs in primary care and medical specialties.   The amendments define “primary care” to mean the practice of family medicine, general internal medicine, general pediatrics, general obstetrics, or gynecology.

The Senate floor amendments revise the definition of “qualifying medical condition” to include opioid use disorder.
