SYNOPSIS

     Prohibits certain officials from using municipal vehicles for private purpose.

An Act concerning municipally owned vehicles and supplementing P.L.1999, c.29 (C.40A:9-22.1 et seq.).

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    A governing body or local government agency shall not authorize a local government officer serving on a governing body or the board of a local government agency to use a motor vehicle owned by the local government agency for any unofficial purposes, including transportation to a local government officer’s residence. 

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.
