      The Senate Higher Education Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 1834.

      This bill requires each public institution of higher education to post, by August 15 of each year its budget for the upcoming academic year on the institution’s website for public inspection.  The institution is also required to post a summary document that outlines in a user-friendly manner the institution’s major sources of revenue and major categories of expenditures.  The bill specifies that the information must be posted in a prominent and easily accessible location.
