STATEMENT TO

SENATE, No. 1860

with Assembly Floor Amendments

ADOPTED: JUNE 21, 2018

      These floor amendments would specify that a person entering a vehicle to rescue an animal needs to have a reasonable belief that the animal is in immediate danger of bodily injury or death from the inhumane conditions, rather than a reasonable belief that the health or welfare of the animal may be at risk under such conditions.

      These floor amendments would make this bill identical to Assembly Bill 2318 (1R) of 2018.
