SENATE, No. 1887

with Senate Floor Amendments

(Proposed by Senator SINGLETON)

ADOPTED: JUNE 10, 2019

These amendments change the initial deadline, from the fall semester of the 2019-2020 academic year to the fall semester of the 2020-2021 academic year, for which the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development is required to develop and initially offer under the pilot program at least 10 industry-valued credentials.

The amendments also change the secondary deadline for the commissioner to implement at least 10 additional industry-valued credentials from the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year to the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year.

The amendments also provide funding through fiscal year 2023, rather than 2022, and change the expiration date of the pilot program to July 1, 2023.
