SENATE RESOLUTION No. 126

 

with committee amendments

 

STATE OF NEW JERSEY

      The Senate Health, Human Services and Senior Citizens Committee reports favorably and with committee amendments Senate Resolution 126.

     As amended by the committee, this resolution urges the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to adopt a adopt a uniform data system to collect information on maternal mortality to allow states and the federal government to share responsibility in identifying opportunities for improving maternal health care services, make recommendations on improving maternal health before, during, and after pregnancy, and implement system changes relating to maternal health care.

 

COMMITTEE AMENDMENTS:

     The committee amended the bill to correct the title of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, update a provision describing relevant legislation, and to make a technical correction to the transmittal paragraph.
