SYNOPSIS

     Requires DOLWD to provide link to New Jersey Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program on website and in emails concerning unemployment compensation benefits.

An Act concerning the New Jersey Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and unemployment compensation benefits and supplementing chapter 21 of Title 43 of the Revised Statutes.  

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    The Department of Labor and Workforce Development shall make available on its website and emails concerning unemployment benefits a link to the New Jersey Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, as established pursuant to the federal "Food and Nutrition Act of 2008," Pub.L.110-246 (7 U.S.C. s.2011 et seq.).

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill requires the Department of Labor and Workforce Development to make available on its website and in its emails concerning unemployment benefits a link to the New Jersey Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as “SNAP”.
