      The Assembly Appropriations Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 5898.

      This bill would permit minors between 16 and 18 years of age to work up to 50 hours in a week during the summer period beginning the last day of the minor’s school year and ending on Labor Day. A parent or guardian’s permission is required.

      The bill takes effect immediately and expires on September 6, 2021.

      This bill is not certified as requiring a fiscal note.
