      The Senate Higher Education Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 275.

      P.L.1985, c.231 (C.18A:62-4.1) provides that any member of the United States military stationed in the State, as well as his dependents, are eligible for resident tuition rates at public institutions of higher education.  This bill extends that provision to the dependent child of United States military personnel who attended high school in New Jersey for a minimum of three years, regardless of where the dependent child resides upon enrollment in the institution.

      This bill was pre-filed for introduction in the 2020-2021 session pending technical review.  As reported, the bill includes the changes required by technical review, which has been performed.
