      The Senate Community and Urban Affairs Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 818.

      This bill would permit certain proposed county ordinances to be sent to the clerk of each municipality in the county by regular mail or by electronic mail.  Current law requires that a copy of a proposed county ordinance in an optional county charter county be sent by regular mail to the clerk of each municipality in the county.  This bill would permit the use of electronic mail to provide a more efficient means of providing municipalities with copies of proposed county ordinances.

      This bill was pre-filed for introduction in the 2020-2021 session pending technical review.  As reported, the bill includes the changes required by technical review, which has been performed.
