      The Assembly Appropriations Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 1936.

      This bill requires the Commissioner of Transportation (commissioner) to advertise the availability of the program that provides motor bus and rail passenger service for senior citizens and persons with disabilities at reduced fares, the cost of those fares, and the hours when reduced fares may be used.  The bill also requires the commissioner to advertise which public transportation facilities have been made accessible to persons with disabilities and the availability of other transportation services offered to the public for use by persons with disabilities, including the Access Link paratransit service operated by the New Jersey Transit Corporation.

      As reported by the committee, Senate Bill No. 1936 is identical to Assembly Bill No. 2450, which also was reported by the committee on this date.
