      The Senate Military and Veterans Affairs Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 3908.

      This bill requires veterans’ facilities operated by the Department of Military and Veterans’ Affairs (DMVA) to provide payroll-based journal information to the New Jersey Long-Term Care Ombudsman.

      A payroll-based journal is an auditable and accessible database of staffing records.  DMVA veterans’ facilities would be required to provide an annual report to the Ombudsman on this journal.  The Ombudsman would establish and implement procedures for receiving, processing, and responding to the reports.  The reports would be due on or before the last day of the State fiscal year.  The Ombudsman would be permitted to request additional reports.
