An Act concerning service of certain child support orders and supplementing Title 2A of the New Jersey Statutes.

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. a. The sheriff's office in each county shall compile statistics recording the number of child support orders and child support warrants received from the court and served upon child support obligors in each fiscal year. The statistics shall include information concerning child support orders and warrants received in prior years and delivered in subsequent years.

    b. The sheriff's office shall provide statistical reports annually to the Administrative Office of the Courts, to the State IV-D agency and to the public concerning the information required to be compiled pursuant to this act.

 

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

    This bill would require the county sheriff's office to compile statistical reports concerning child support orders and warrants served upon child support obligors, and to file annual public reports concerning the number of orders received and served.

 

 

 

Requires sheriff's offices in each county to maintain statistics and file public reports concerning service of child support orders and warrants.
