    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

    1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L. 1994, c.    , there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

STATEMENT

    This bill appropriates $325,134 to the Department of Corrections in FY 1995 for the Office of Hispanic Services. The funding will replace federal funding which the department received in FY 1994 but will not receive in FY 1995. Currently, 18 percent of the prison population is Hispanic. This office provides rehabilitation, counseling and translation services for Hispanic inmates.

Supplemental appropriation of $325,134 to Department of Corrections, Office of Hispanic Services to replace lost federal funding.
