An Act providing for the establishment of the New Jersey Goodwill Ambassadors Club, supplementing Title 34 of the Revised Statutes, and making an appropriation.

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. The Director of the Division of Travel and Tourism in the Department of Commerce and Economic Development shall establish a "New Jersey Goodwill Ambassadors Club." The club shall be composed of individuals who own or are affiliated with a company in this State which has at least two facilities outside New Jersey. Club members shall promote New Jersey as a place to live, work, visit and conduct business on their trips outside the State.

    For purposes of this section, "facility" means a place of commercial or industrial activity.

 

    2. The director shall provide club members with information highlighting the advantages of New Jersey as a place to live, work, visit and conduct business. The director shall provide each club member with a special New Jersey Goodwill Ambassador pin.

 

    3. There is appropriated $5,000 from the General Fund to the Division of Travel and Tourism in the Department of Commerce and Economic Development for the purchase of New Jersey Goodwill Ambassador pins.

 

    4. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

    This bill provides that the Director of the Division of Travel and Tourism in the Department of Commerce and Economic Development shall establish a "New Jersey Goodwill Ambassadors Club." Club members shall promote New Jersey as a place to live, work, visit and conduct business on their trips outside the State.

    The bill appropriates $5,000 from the General Fund to the Division of Travel and Tourism in the Department of Commerce and Economic Development for the purchase of New Jersey Goodwill Ambassador pins.

 

 

Provides for the establishment of the New Jersey Goodwill Ambassadors Club; appropriates $5,000.
