An Act concerning public school curriculum and supplementing Chapter 35 of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. a. No teaching staff member shall use any visual aid or instruct any student on the methods used to make any explosives, including any bomb, shell or similar device filled with one or more explosives, or knowingly permit any student to view any visual aid or recieve information on the methods used to make any explosives, including any bomb, shell or similar device filled with one or more explosives.
b. Any person who violates the provisions of this act shall be guilty of a crime of the fourth degree.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
In light of the recent report that a teacher permitted students to view another student's video tape showing how to make a bomb, this bill prohibits teaching staff members from using any visual aid or instructing any student on the methods used to make any explosives, including any bomb, shell or similar device filled with one or more explosives. The bill further prohibits teachers from permitting any student to view any visual aid or recieve information that demonstrates the methods used to make any explosives, including any bomb, shell or similar device filled with one or more explosives.
The bill provides that any person violating the provisions therein shall be guilty of a crime of the fourth degree.
Prohibits instruction in school on methods to make bombs.
