ASSEMBLY, No. 508

 

STATE OF NEW JERSEY

 

DATED: FEBRUARY 5, 1996

 

      The Assembly Appropriations Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 508.

      Assembly No. 508 appropriates $5,978,000 in bond funds to the Department of Corrections for the construction, as part of the county assistance program, of a 200 bed county correctional facility in Camden County.

      The moneys are appropriated from three different bond funds:

      (1) $1,833,029.33 is appropriated from the "Public Purpose Buildings and Community-Based Facilities Fund of 1989";

      (2) $238,288.67 is appropriated from the "Public Purpose Buildings Construction Fund of 1980"; and

      (3) $3,906,682 is appropriated from the "Correctional Facilities Construction Fund of 1982."

      This bill was prefiled for introduction in the 1996-97 session pending technical review. As reported, the bill includes the changes required by technical review, which has been performed.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

      This bill appropriates $5,978,000 from three bond funds for an expansion of a Camden County correctional facility.
