An Act concerning casino gambling and supplementing P.L.1977, c.110 (C.5:12-1 et seq.).

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. a. At least 25% of the blackjack tables in operation in a casino at any given time shall require a minimum wager not in excess of $5.

    b. At least 25% of the craps tables in operation in a casino at any given time shall require a minimum wager not in excess of $5.

    c. At least 25% of the roulette tables in operation in a casino at any given time shall require a minimum wager not in excess of $5.

 

    2. A casino shall place a stool in front of each slot machine in order to enable patrons to play from a seated position.

 

    3. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

    This bill provides that at least 25% of the blackjack tables, craps tables and roulette tables in operation in a casino at any given time shall require a minimum wager not in excess of $5. Its purpose is to ensure that tables with a relatively low minimum wager requirement are always accessible to patrons.

    The bill also requires a casino to place a stool in front of each slot machine in order to enable patrons to play from a seated position.

 

 

 

Provides that 25% of certain gaming tables in a casino shall require a minimum wager not in excess of $5; requires stools to be placed in front of slot machines.
