An Act requiring casino hotels to provide certain facilities and supplementing P.L.1977, c.110 (C.5:12-1 et seq.).

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. In addition to any other space requirements imposed on a casino hotel by law or regulation, each casino hotel shall include at least 25,000 square feet of space for meetings and exhibitions and at least 40,000 square feet of space for dining, entertainment and indoor sports. The space provided for meetings and exhibitions and the space provided for dining, entertainment and indoor sports shall be separate and distinct areas which shall not be combined for the purpose of meeting the minimum square footage requirements of this section.

 

    2. This act shall take effect on the 120th day after enactment.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

    This bill would require each casino hotel to include at least 25,000 square feet of space for meetings and exhibitions and at least 40,000 square feet of space for dining, entertainment and indoor sports.
