      The Assembly State Government Committee reports favorably Assembly, No. 852.

      Current law provides a leave of absence with pay for no more than five days each calendar year to a State, county or municipal employee who is a duly authorized representative of any of several enumerated organizations to attend the organization's State or national convention. This bill adds the Military Order of the Purple Heart to the list of organizations whose conventions such employees shall be given a leave of absence to attend.

      This bill was prefiled for introduction in the 1996 session pending technical review. As reported, the bill includes the changes required by technical review, which has been performed.
