      These floor amendments provide clarification as to the costs attached to the damages resultant from unlawful access to any data, data base, computer, computer program, computer software, computer equipment, computer system or computer network. The sponsors were concerned that the current language in subsection b. of several of the sections related to computer theft appeared to pertain to the value of the computer system rather than the value of the damage casued by the access. Parallel changes are made in subsection c. which are being added by this bill.
