STATEMENT TO

ASSEMBLY, No. 1219

with Assembly Floor Amendments

ADOPTED: MAY 6, 1996

      These amendments provide that contracts for professional services under the "Local Public Contracts Law," P.L.1971, c.198 (C.40A:11-1 et seq.) shall not exceed 12 consecutive months.

      Thses amendments also make technical corrections to section 2 of the bill to reflect changes to the statute as a result of the enactment of P.L.1995, c.371.
