A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1996 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved June 30, 1995 (P.L.1995, c.164).

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.1995, c.164, there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

 

GRANTS-IN-AID

22 DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS

50 Economic Planning, Development and Security

55 Social Services Programs -- Grants-In-Aid

 

05-8050 Community Resources................................$1,500,000

Grant:

    Grant to the Center for Hispanic Policy, Research

      and Development.........................($1,500,000)

 

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

    This bill makes a supplemental appropriation of $1,500,000 to the Department of Community Affairs for a grant to the Center for Hispanic Policy, Research and Development. This amount will now allow this office to more fully complete its objectives by having a total budget of $2,625,000. The office will utilize the funding for statewide grants to the hispanic community, technical assistance and referral services, and creating training/employment opportunities for hispanic


college interns.
