The Senate Community Affairs Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 1353 (1R).
This bill would permit, at the discretion of the appointing authority of the county, a five-year term of office for an individual upon that individual's reappointment as a county purchasing agent and provided that the individual has attained certification as a county purchasing official pursuant to the provisions of P.L.1981, c.380 (C.40A:9-30.1 et seq.). Currently, county purchasing agents are appointed for three-year terms.
