ASSEMBLY CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND REGULATED PROFESSIONS COMMITTEE
STATEMENT TO
ASSEMBLY, No. 1635
with committee amendments
STATE OF NEW JERSEY
DATED: MARCH 11, 1996
The Assembly Consumer Affairs and Regulated Professions Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 1635 with amendments.
This bill amends the "Landscape Irrigation Contractor Certification Act of 1991" to delay the effective date of section 3 of that act, which prohibits landscape irrigation contracting without certification, until January 1, 1997. This bill also provides that notwithstanding subsection b. of section 7 of the act, all certificates issued prior to January 1, 1997 shall expire on January 31, 1999. The committee made technical amendments to the bill so that it is identical to Senate Bill No. 91.
