An Act concerning domestic violence shelters and amending P.L.1979, c.337.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. Section 13 of P.L.1979, c.337 (C.30:14-13) is amended to read as follows:
13. Information which may reveal the identity or location of a person seeking shelter services shall not be disclosed, except as otherwise specifically required by law or with the consent of the person seeking shelter services. Information which may reveal the location of the domestic violence shelter shall not be disclosed, except as otherwise specifically required by law.

2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill amends P.L.1979, c.337 by specifically ensuring the confidentiality of the location of domestic violence shelters. Currently, the law provides for the confidentiality of the identity or location of a person seeking domestic violence shelter services, but does not provide for the confidentiality of the location of the domestic violence shelter.
