A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1996 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved June 30, 1995 (P.L.1995, c.164).
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.1995, c.164, there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

|
The amount hereinabove for Sediment and Dredged Materials Technology Institute shall be disbursed equally between the Stevens Institute of Technology, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Rutgers University.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill appropriates $600,000 to help finance the Sediment and Dredged Materials Technology Institute, which was created for the purpose of developing, testing, and evaluating dredged material decontamination technologies and disposal alternatives. This grant would be divided equally between the Stevens Institute of Technology, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Rutgers University, who have formed a research consortium to conduct this research.
Appropriates $600,000 to DEP for Sediment and Dredged Materials Technology Institute.
