      The Assembly Consumer Affairs and Regulated Professions Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 1764.

      This bill provides for the certification of commercial, self-administered pulse meters and blood pressure machines by the State Superintendent of Weights and Measures in the Division of Consumer Affairs. All such pulse meters and blood pressure machines available for use by the public installed on or after the effective date of this act shall be certified by the State superintendent prior to their installation. In addition, all commercial, self-administered pulse meters and blood pressure machines available for use by the public shall be certified at least annually by the State superintendent.
