An Act requiring that a State government telephone directory be published annually, supplementing Title 52 of the Revised Statutes.

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

    1. Prior to May 1 in each calendar year, the Department of the Treasury shall compile and publish a State government telephone directory which contains a complete listing of the telephone numbers of all State offices and the name, department and telephone number of each State officer or employee. Copies of the directory shall be provided to each State agency, as defined in section 2 of P.L.1971, c.182 (C.52:13D-13), at no charge. Any person shall be permitted to purchase a copy of the directory from the department upon payment of a fee which shall be based upon the cost of compiling and publishing the directory.

    2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall be operative as of March 1 next following the date of enactment.

STATEMENT

    This bill requires the Department of the Treasury prior to May 1 in each calendar year to compile and publish a State government telephone directory. Copies of the directory would be provided to State agencies at no charge. Any person shall be permitted to purchase a copy of the directory from the department upon payment of a fee which shall based upon the cost of compiling and publishing the directory.

Requires a State government telephone directory to be published annually.
