A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1996 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved June 30, 1995 (P.L.1995, c.164).
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.1995, c.164, there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

The amount appropriated hereinabove for the State Medical Examiner is intended to offset a shortfall in the current fiscal year and allow continuation of current services performed by the State Medical Examiner's Office through June 30, 1996.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This supplemental appropriation is intended to provide funds sufficient to prevent any reduction in services provided through the Office of the State Medical Examiner to county governments through June 30, 1996. Due to a shortfall in the current fiscal year, toxicology testing services as well as other forensic and postmortem examinations performed by the State Medical Examiner for specific counties are scheduled to be drastically curtailed effective May 1, 1996.
Supplemental appropriation of $408,000 to the Department of Law and Public Safety for the State Medical Examiner
