An Act concerning general public assistance benefits and supplementing P.L.1947, c.156 (C.44:8-107 et seq.).
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. An employable person who is receiving benefits under the program of general public assistance established pursuant to P.L.1947, c.156 (C.44:8-107 et seq.) shall be required to work a minimum of 15 days per month.
2. The Commissioner of Human Services, pursuant to the "Administrative Procedure Act," P.L.1968, c.410 (C.52:14B-1 et seq.), shall adopt regulations to effectuate the purposes of this act.
3. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill requires an employable recipient of general public assistance to work a minimum of 15 days per month in order to receive benefits under the program.
Requires recipients of general public assistance benefits to work 15 days per month.
