STATEMENT
This bill appropriates $50,000 for Douglass Advisory Services for Women better known as the Women's Center located on the Douglass Campus, Rutgers University. The center has been in existence for 22 years focusing on outreach and public service. The center was originally founded to provide support services for women considering a return to school or the work force. Since that time the mission of the center has expanded to meet the changing needs of the women it serves at Rutgers and the surrounding community. The center is funded by a combination of institutional, public and private support. These funds would restore the loss of institutional support.
Supplemental appropriation of $50,000 for the Women's Center at Douglass College.
