STATEMENT
This bill provides a supplemental appropriation of $20,000 to the Asbury Park School District and the Long Branch School District to provide lifeguard certification programs to students in secondary schools. The programs are required to be recognized by the Department of Health pursuant to N.J.A.C.8:26 Appendix. This $20,000 appropriation will help to increase the number of lifeguards in these communities, which are in need of their services. The cost of the certification program has prevented many students from obtaining the necessary certification to become a lifeguard.
Supplemental appropriation of $20,000 to the Asbury Park and Long Branch School Districts.
