A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1997 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved June 28, 1996 (P.L.1996, c.42).

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.1996, c.42, there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

 

 

GRANTS-IN-AID

22 DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS

50 Economic Planning, Development and Security

55 Social Services Programs -- Grants-In-Aid

    Storm Damage Relief..................................................

The amount hereinabove for Storm Damage Relief shall be allocated by the Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs among the following municipalities: Bordentown City, Bordentown Township, Chesterfield Township, Wrightstown Boro, Easthampton Township, Fieldsboro Boro, Florence Township, Mansfield Township, New Hanover Township, North Hanover Township, Pemberton Boro, Pemberton Township and Springfield Township.

 

      2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

      This supplemental appropriation provides $250,000 in storm damage relief to the municipalities of Bordentown City, Bordentown Township, Chesterfield Township, Wrightstown Boro, Easthampton Township, Fieldsboro Boro, Florence Township, Mansfield Township, New Hanover Township, North Hanover Township, Pemberton Boro, Pemberton Township, Springfield Township. The funds are to be allocated among the municipalities by the Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs.
