ASSEMBLY, No. 2281

with Assembly Floor Amendments

(Proposed By Assemblymen MORAN and IMPREVEDUTO)

ADOPTED: OCTOBER 21, 1996

These amendments remove the provision in the bill that requires persons licensed under the "Public Movers and Warehousemen Licensing Act," (C.45:14D-1 et seq.), to maintain a bond, letter of credit, or securities of not less than $10,000. The amendments also provide that the State Board of Public Movers and Warehousemen shall not determine that an applicant for licensure is unfit to be licensed or revoke the license of a person currently licensed when that individual's criminal history background check reveals a record of conviction for various disorderly persons offenses.
