A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1997 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved June 28, 1996 (P.L.1996, c.42).

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.1996, c.42, there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

22 DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS

 40 Community Development and Environmental Management

41 Community Development Management

18-8017 Local Fire Fighters’ Training

$360,000

Special Purpose:

 

 

Incident Management Training ($360,000)

 

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

    This bill appropriates $360,000 to the Division of Fire Safety in the Department of Community Affairs to offer or approve educational programs for incident management training as required under P.L.1995, c.266. The incident management training would enable a fire service to implement a coordinated attack on a fire emergency by controlling the position and duties of all fire fighters, while also regulating rest and work cycles and providing a safety focus at each fire scene.
