with committee amendments

      The Assembly Community Services Committee favorably reports Assembly Bill No. 2413 with amendments.

      As amended by committee, this bill codifies budget language regarding the use of certain excess receipts realized by the Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired to expand vision screening services. Such language has been included in the annual appropriations act for several years and it is appropriate that this language be incorporated into permanent law.

      The amendments add "and other prevention services" in referring to expanding vision screening services. Additional amendments are technical in nature and correct a spelling error and update references to the current fiscal year.
