ASSEMBLY, No. 2625

      The Assembly Local Government Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 2625.

      Assembly Bill No. 2625 is intended to validate the proceedings of the Montville Fire District No. 2, Morris County, bond issue notwithstanding that notices to military service voters and their friends and relatives and to persons desiring civilian absentee ballots were not published in accordance with the provisions of section 7 of the "Absentee Voting Law (1953)", P.L.1953, c.211 (C.19:57-7) and notwithstanding that the notice of election was not properly prepared, posted and published as required by law, provided that notices of election setting forth the date, time and place of the election were published and provided further that no action, suit or other proceedings of any nature to contest the validity of the election have been instituted prior to the date on which this act takes effect and within the time fixed therefor by or pursuant to law or rule of court, or when such time has not heretofore expired, are instituted within 30 days after the effective date of this act.
