with committee amendments

      The Senate Law and Public Safety Committee reports favorably and with committee amendments Assembly Bill No. 2683.

      This bill would appropriate $10,470,832 to the Department of Corrections from the "Correctional Facilities Construction Fund" for renovations to the Vroom Building, the Albert C. Wagner Youth Correctional Facility and Northern State Prison.

       As introduced, the bill appropriated $7,070,832 to the department; the committee amended the bill to include $3,400,000 in renovations to Northern State Prison.

      As amended and released by the committee, this bill is identical to Senate Bill No. 1826, which also was released by the committee on this date.
