      The Assembly Local Government Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 2690.

      Assembly Bill No. 2690 renames the Department of Community Affairs as the Department of Community and Urban Affairs.

      Assembly Bill No. 2690 is identical to Senate Bill No. 1708 (SCS), which also was reported by the committee on March 3, 1997.
