ASSEMBLY, No. 2704

with Assembly Floor Amendments

(Proposed By Assemblywoman BUONO)

ADOPTED: JUNE 19, 1997

These amendments provide that, beginning on the date of enactment of this bill, 10% of the proceeds obtained by the Attorney General from forfeited property pursuant to subsection a. of N.J.S.2C:64-6 shall be deposited into the Hepatitis Inoculation Fund established pursuant to section 2 of P.L.1993, c.227 (C.26:4-100.13), which is the same percentage amount as was deposited into the fund for the first two years of its existence. This increase in funding for the Hepatitis Inoculation Fund, from 5% of such proceeds as currently provided in N.J.S.2C:64-6, is intended to effectuate the provisions of this bill which expand the categories of persons eligible for inoculations which are paid for from the fund to include school employees as designated by the Director of the Division of Epidemiology and Communicable Disease Control in the Department of Health and Senior Services.
