An Act concerning expenditures from the revenues and other funds of the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Authority.

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. From funds authorized by the Legislature to be appropriated from the revenues and other funds of the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Authority for the FY 1997 transportation capital construction program, the Commissioner of Transportation shall allocate and transfer $5,000,000 from a part or all of any item or items to a new item for the South Jersey Food Distribution Center in Burlington County.

 

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

    This bill directs the Commissioner of Transportation to allocate and transfer $5,000,000 from an existing item or items in the FY 1997 Transportation Trust Fund capital construction program to a new item for the construction of access roads and related infrastructure improvements for the proposed South Jersey Food Distribution Center in Florence Township, Burlington County.

    In FY 1996 the Legislature authorized the Transportation Trust Fund to provide $1,000,000 to study the transportation issues related to the development of the proposed food distribution center. This additional $5,000,000 amount would be used for the actual construction of access roads and related infrastructure improvements for the center.

 

                             

Directs DOT Commissioner to allocate $5,000,000 in Transportation Trust Fund monies for South Jersey Food Distribution Center in Burlington County.
