with Senate Floor Amendments

ADOPTED: DECEMBER 15, 1997

      These amendments provide: 1) that the immunization of a child for hepatitis B shall be a condition of enrollment in kindergarten or first grade, whichever is first, and sixth grade; 2) that the requirement shall be applicable to the 1999-2000 school year; and 3) that the dosage shall be according to guidelines approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration or the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
